Week 1: Grocery Shopping on a $30 Budget

This is the first week of stretching $30 as far as it can go for my groceries. It took some planning, but it went even better than I imagined! Here's what I got:

2 pounds red grapes
3.5 pounds bananas
2 pkgs Imperial margarine quarters
1 bag frozen tater tots
1 jar grape jelly
2 cans mushrooms
1 cooking spray
1 Parmesan cheese
2 cans Progresso soup
2 Ramen noodles (these were used as fillers at Walgreens)
2 dozen eggs
2 Welch's concentrated juice
1 can of Lysol
2 bags Chex Mix
2 -3pk Irish Spring
2 jumbo packs Huggies diapers

I want to point out a few of the really good deals:

Lysol disinfectant spray is 1/2 price at Meijer this week. The sale price on a large can is $2.44. Use the $2 off coupon from the SmartSource 2/1 insert. Lysol for $0.44!!!!

Large, Grade A eggs are on sale for $0.99 at Family Fare this week. No coupons necessary.

Progresso soup is on sale at Meijer this week 8/$10 ($1.25 each). No, you don't have to buy 8 to get this price. You can print a $1.10 off coupon here. (You can print two. Just hit your browser's back button after you print the first one). Progresso soup for $0.15 each!!!!

Chex Mix is on sale at Meijer for $1.00 each. Print the $1.00 off coupon here, making it FREE!!! (Again, you can print two of this coupon).

I made 4 stops today. I went to Aldi, Walgreens, Family Fare, and Meijer. All the groceries I bought today were worth $64.62.
After using my coupons and my Walgreens rebate rewards from last month, I only paid $18.12!!!! That means I have $11.88 left to put with next week's budget! :)

I'm having some problems trying to post a picture at the moment. Hopefully I'll get it up soon.
