The days around our house have been pretty relaxed lately. Since I will be going back to work soon, I've been trying to enjoy the little time off I have left by allowing myself to sleep in a little. Dylan usually wakes me up around 8:30, and we have breakfast and get on with our day. I usually take a shower when he is finished eating breakfast, which has never been a problem...UNTIL YESTERDAY.
When I got out of the shower, Dylan said, "Mommy! I'm playing with chips!" I wasn't sure what he meant by this, but it didn't sound like anything to be worried about. Here is what I found when I discovered what he meant by "chips".

Computer keys...when they are taken off of the lap top, (especially in large amounts) I must agree that they do resemble chips in a way. I'm proud that I was calm enough to think of taking a picture. It is quite funny in hind site, but at the moment of discovery I was mortified! Dollar signs were flashing in my head as I imagined what this would cost to fix, or IF it could be fixed.
Luckily, everything seemed to snap back into place quite easily...WHEW! The caps lock and left shift keys are not completely fixed, but they stay on and are functional. I guess that's all I can really ask for.
I think it's time to start facing reality and getting up BEFORE Dylan wakes up. Getting my shower in before he's running around the house will definitely stop something like this (or worse) from happening again in the future. Two year old children are SO MUCH FUN! :)

Eeek!
You're a good mommy.
You remained calm, cool, and collected. In my mind, I would've been going "CRAP!" LOL!
You're awesome!
Hugs!
Oh my gosh...I laughed SO hard :)! Good thing you are so patient and the keys went back on! Earlier mornings for you or locked doors for Dylan ;)!
Oh my goodness! This EXACT same thing happened to me! (Except my son didn't say he was playing with chips...I just walk out of the bathroom and see the destruction!)I was able to fix almost all the keys, except the darn shift key, which is still not right...
