I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was very busy, but we enjoyed every bit of it. It was so much fun this year now that Dylan is really starting to understand things. He was so excited!
One of Dylan's favorite things about Christmas this year is that we turned my old dog grooming room into a playroom (there was lots of bleach involved, so don't worry). We didn't let him see it until Christmas morning, so it was a surprise. We also got him a wooden train table set that he loves.
Later on Christmas Day, we went to a party at Brandon's grandparents' house. We had a big lunch with the whole family. Dylan got to play Santa's helper. Uncle Jeremy helped him pass out all the presents. (And he got to open some too). :)
That night, we went to celebrate with the Veltema side at Opa & Oma's house. Dylan was so happy to be able to play with Anika again. He got to play with her a lot last summer, and you can tell that he really misses her!
On the following Sunday, we celebrated with the Boss side. Grandma Boss had a book made for Dylan. The story is about trains (which he loves) and Dylan and some of his friends are in the story. This quickly took a spot on his roatation of favorite bedtime stories.
After all of these parties, I realize that we have a very spoiled...I mean LOVED, little boy on our hands. Brandon and I are so relieved that we had the playroom ready before all these new toys appeared at our house. We've been able to avoid a lot of clutter that would have otherwise been in the main parts of the house.
These are just a few highlights of our Christmas. There are MANY more pictures. If you would like to see them all, just visit my Facebook profile.
