REFERRAL!!!!!!!!!

On Wednesday, June 9, around 7:00 pm we received the news that we had been waiting for since April of 2009 (when we started our adoption journey). "Congratulations! You've been matched!!!!" We received a referral for the sweet little 3 year old girl that I told you about in my previous post. She is absolutely beautiful and we are SO THRILLED!!!! :)

I was working at a client's house when my phone rang. I apologized to my client and sent the call to voice mail, since I didn't recognize the number anyway. My phone immediately rang again with a call from the same number, so I decided I better take the call and excused myself from the room. I was so shocked when I answered the call and heard our case worker's voice on the other end. I had been wondering all day if we would hear any news, but since it was now 7:00pm I had stopped thinking about it. When she first told me that we had been chosen for our little girl, I was so shocked and excited. I didn't know what to say, and I was shaking! I called Brandon immediately to let him know. "Congratulations, hunny! You have a daughter!!!!!"

We have our acceptance papers ready to go! The next step is to wait for the word that we have a court date scheduled. We could be headed on our first trip to Ethiopia in as little as 2 months! Please keep us in your prayers! We are hoping that things will continue to fall into place as we go!
