We received another unexpected email yesterday that contained updated information and 16 new pictures of L!!!!!
She is wearing a pink outfit in all of the pictures, and looks like such a happy and energetic little girl! There are pictures of her playing outside, coloring, reading books, building with blocks, and best of all...SMILING!!! She has the most beautiful smile!
We were happy to hear that she is still adjusting well, and it sounds like they are taking very good care of her. She gets 3 meals and 2 snacks everyday, which they say she eats completely. She is still on track developmentally, and is beginning to learn Amharic (the official language of Ethiopia, but not her native language). This should help us to communicate with her through the nannies and other staff while we are in Ethiopia. It also makes it easier for us to learn some basic words to communicate with, as it is much easier to find resources for learning Amharic than her native language.
We've also been told that she has not been experiencing any health problems. She has gained almost 2 pounds, and grown almost 2 inches!!!! We are so thankful that she is doing so well, and that she is getting such excellent care. We have heard from several sources that the kids are very loved and well cared for at her orphanage. This is such an answer to our prayers!!!

Actually, our adoption agency recommends that we don't post pictures of our child on public websites until she is home. We can only show you in person! :)
What great news!! Sounds like she is doing great waiting for you to come and take her home :) Can't wait to see pictures!
