That's right! We got the call on Thursday afternoon while we were at a Tiger's game with Brandon's family. Grandpa and Grandma Veltema had rented a box suite for the family that day. We were SO SPOILED! Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma!
It was loud at the game, so I didn't hear my phone ring. I just happened to look at it at just the right time, and saw our case worker's name lighting up the screen. I ran from my chair into the suite so I could hear better, Brandon following close behind. It was an exciting part of the game, and we ended up having to go into the bathroom to hear her. Haha!
Our court date is on October 8! For a split second we were a little disappointed that we didn't beat the court closure, but the disappointment was swept away by a huge wave of relief. We are anxious to meet L, but the extra time for planning will save us a bundle when it comes to air travel. Brandon and I are not experienced world travelers either, so the extra time to research and process all the info will be nice.
Time to book our flights!!!
