Ready to go!

The majority of the packing is behind us. All that's left are a few last minute things to throw in the suitcases. Now I'm just trying to catch up on laundry and type out some information to leave with our families. I can't believe we're leaving for ETHIOPIA tomorrow!

My packing MESS

Brandon and I are full of emotions that seem to change from minute to minute. I'm having flashbacks of the emotional instability I felt during my pregnancies. We're mostly excited. So excited to experience this country and culture that we've fallen in love with and researched so much. I am very excited about the food and COFFEE. And most importantly, we are SO EXCITED TO FINALLY MEET OUR DAUGHTER!!!! We are meeting our daughter for the very first time. This is HUGE!!!!

Along with all the excitement is fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of leaving our boys here while we travel to the other side of the world (even though they will be in the EXCELLENT care of our wonderful families). Fear that we'll forget to bring along something important. Fear that we won't pass court. Fear that our daughter won't be as smitten with us as we are with her.

Thank goodness we can feel that this is the Lord's plan for our family. We have no doubt that we are doing the right thing right now, and we are so thankful for that. We just have to overcome the fear and focus on all the excitement.

So, please pray for our family while we're away. Especially for our kids...all 3 of them. :) We will try to update the blog a few times during our trip, but I'm not sure that we'll be able to do that as much as I had hoped. We decided last night to leave our laptop at home. Since we don't have any extremely long layovers and aren't sure if we'll have a way to plug it in to charge once we're in Ethiopia. (The converter I have is only for Class 2 electronics). I believe we will have access to a computer at our guest house though, so we will try to update as we go. Watch for those updates!

Jen,
My prayers have been with you and Brandon for a long time and it is as if we are all going on the trip with you both, in our hearts and prayers.
Go in faith and know your doing the right thing, and you have the love and support of many with you.

Love Peggy
