"Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop."

I'm still in shock! I don't know when it will finally sink in that this pregnancy is going well. I'm so happy to have this blog to record everything that's going on during the pregnancy. This will be my LAST pregnancy...mark my words! I will be so happy to put the stress of making babies behind me! So, I want to remember as much as I can about this one. :)
This morning I decided to give baby's heartbeat a quick listen. I'm getting really good with my doppler. It helps that I can now usually feel where the baby is. I've been feeling the baby move for a couple weeks now, but I have to really be concentrating to feel it. I haven't felt any soccer player kicks yet. When I put the probe on my belly this morning, the baby kept moving away from it. (Like, "leave me alone, mom!") Since I was laying flat and really concentrating on the baby, I could feel every move and wiggle. So sweet! I love this baby so much! I can't wait to find out baby's gender. I'd really like to have a name picked out right away this time. We have a name picked out for a boy, but not for a girl yet. And don't bother asking...I'm not going to tell anyone yet. :)

What a precious post!
It is great that you can say this is your last pregnancy so you can totally savor every moment of it...I never really knew for sure if we'd have more or not...(we didn't) so I don't know if I "took in" everything with the last one as much as I would have if I'd have KNOWN it was the last. You are blessed to know that! I love your journal and you are blessed to be expecting two precious bundles! God bless!
Congratulations! I am so excited for you! Can't wait till you find our the gender either!
