Don't get too excited. There's not much to report. There have been a lot of delays in the program recently. Nothing to be alarmed about...it happens from time to time. Still, there are quite a few families who have referrals, have passed court (meaning their child is LEGALLY theirs), and are waiting to go pick up these precious children. I can only imagine how frustrating and heartbreaking it is to be delayed at this point in the process. They are so close, but their child continues to grow, on the other side of the world...WITHOUT THEM. Please pray for these families that they will find peace through all of this, and that the delays will end soon.
On another note, I am SO excited about an email I received today. Our agency has a "Gift Catalog" on their website. You can go there and pick out a specific gift to give to someone who desperately needs it. There are opportunities to choose from all over the world. But of course, I'm going to link you to the Ethiopia Gift Catalog. The first thing on the list is to help out with FORMULA for the babies. This has been a huge concern for me as I have heard from almost every family that returns from Ethiopia...they are in desperate need of formula. It is in short supply and it is expensive for them.
