Whirlwind

Wow! What a day!!! We got a call at 9:00 this morning, and found out that we have been CLEARED FOR TRAVEL! Our tentative embassy date is February 8. The embassy still has to confirm it, but our agency is 90% sure we will get this date. If we don't, it should only be a couple days later. The agency wants us to arrive in Ethiopia by Thursday morning, so we figured we would leave tomorrow. Our travel agent had a different opinion though. With the big winter storm that is quickly approaching, she felt strongly that we should leave TODAY. Long story short...I am writing this post from the airport. Our flight leaves in just over an hour. Kathy at Susan Parr Travel...you are the BEST!!!!!

It was a crazy day of travel planning and packing, but here we are...on our way to GET OUR GIRL! There are a few details that we have yet to put in place. We're not sure exactly where we'll be staying once we get to Ethiopia. Because of the time difference, I haven't received a confirmation from any of the 3 guest house I emailed this morning. But I'm sure by tomorrow morning, we'll have an answer from all 3, and we'll know where we're staying. If not, we have some great friends in Ethiopia who, I'm sure, will take us in. It will work out.

So keep us in your prayers as we travel. We'll update facebook and our blog as much as we can! :)
