We made it! After a few travel hiccups and lots of prayers, we are finally here! Our flight was very long, and we sure were happy to get off the plane. We waited through a LONG immigration line, and finally got to the baggage carousel. We were really worried that our bags would be lost since we missed a connection earlier in ther trip, but luckily all 4 bags made it to Ethiopia with us. We were greeted with a huge hug from our friend, Abel, who picked us up from the airport. It was so good to see him again!
Abel brought us to our guest house so we could freshen up a bit after the long trip. We are staying at Morning Coffee again, and were greeted with another huge hug from Birtukan. Coming back to Morning Coffee just feels like home. Brandon decided to take a nap since he didn't sleep well on the plane. I got a lesson in Ethiopian cooking while Birtukan cooked lunch. She made Siga Wat, Tibbs Wat, Misir Wat, and 2 different kinds of Aleecha Wat. Let's just say I'm spoiled. What a feast! I sure missed Birtukan's cooking!
In just a few minutes, Abel will be picking us up again to bring us to the orphanage. After 3 long months, we will finally be reunited with L this afternoon. We couldn't be happier! We are so thrilled to be back in Ethiopia! Our daughter will be in our arms very soon!!!!!
