Happy Thoughts

Yesterday was a hard day for us. Me, in particular. It's just really hard to keep going when the plans you had get ripped out from under you. I let myself be sad and even a little angry yesterday, and now I'm feeling much better. We are back to thinking positively.

There is still no news about when we can expect to travel. The worst part of this whole situation is that we know L is waiting for us. Most of the families we traveled with for court, have since been back to Ethiopia to bring their kids home. This included a group of L's friends that were at the same orphanage. We have heard from some of the families that L definitely noticed that we weren't there with the group who went back, and she was visibly upset about that. It's so hard to know that she's missing us, and there's nothing we can do. I am putting together a photo album for her with pictures of her bedroom, pictures from our visit with her, and updated pictures of our family. There is a local family who is leaving on Monday for their court trip, and have agreed to deliver this to our little girl! We will also be sending a message to let her know that we love her so much, and will be coming back for her as soon as we possibly can. We have to make sure she knows that we haven't forgotten about her.

We did receive a copy of L's passport yesterday. It's good to know that at least one more small step is taken care of. And the bonus with the passport copy is that we got to see one more little picture of our girl. Every glimpse we get of her is very special. :)

Thank you to all of you who have been trying to cheer us up over the past couple days, and for all your prayers. Please keep the prayers coming! They are helping!!!!
